We are incredibly proud to have received a number of awards and accreditations in recognition of our innovative approach to development.
In just over three years, we have transformed and proofed the concept of airspace development for new homes supply into a new asset class, which research shows could be worth over £54bn in London alone.
Our collaborative approach has earned us a distinguished reputation in the industry, and in recognition, we have been presented with and shortlisted for numerous accolades across some of the most prestigious awards ceremonies including the RESI Awards, Evening Standard Business Awards and Estates Gazette Awards.
In May 2019 we were crowned ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the prestigious RESI Awards, which features a plethora of the biggest names in the property industry. We were also shortlisted as finalists in the ‘Small Developer of the Year’ category which further recognises the significant strides we have made as a company in the last three years.
The judges thought that our approach to development was a truly “disruptive solution” to the housing shortage and praised the company not just for being “innovative and different” but also for our advocacy work in highlighting the potential of airspace. “What Apex is doing is very important”, said the judges. “This will have a genuine impact on the sector.”

The judges thought that our approach to development was a truly “disruptive solution” to the housing shortage and praised the company not just for being “innovative and different” but also for our advocacy work in highlighting the amount of unused space that can be better deployed. “What Apex is doing is very important”, said the judges. “This will have a genuine impact on the sector.”
In March 2020 we were shortlisted as finalists in the ‘Small Developer of the Year’ category at RESI Awards. Our shortlist in the category confirms the unique role we play as pioneers in our sector and follows our title as ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at RESI 2019. We were delighted to be the only airspace developer to be shortlisted in either category both years.
Acting as one of the property industry’s most prestigious awards ceremonies, we were shortlisted in June 2019 as ‘Residential Innovator of the Year’ alongside some of the most established names in property. The accolade identifies those driving innovation within the built environment sector, which, as pioneers of airspace development, we are delighted to be recognized for.
In 2017, we were presented the World Architectural News Urban Challenge Award, in recognition of our approach to airspace development across a range of future sites, as well as our extensive research in London to identify the opportunity across its rooftops and the potential to help solve the housing crisis.
