Pioneering airspace developer Apex Airspace (Apex) continues its rapid expansion in 2019 with the hire of two new staff to its construction team.
Jonathan Poole has been appointed Construction Director, while Ricardo Simoes joins as Project Manager. These are two of the latest appointments by our award-winning company, totalling 14 new hires this year including graduates and senior managers, a 140% increase in staff in the first half of 2019.
Jonathan Poole joins as Construction Director, moving from his role as Operations Director at Mace. This and his 18 years at Ridge as project manager mean he is perfectly placed to take over responsibility for all of our modular construction projects, overseeing the budgets and ensuring timely delivery. He will supervise the development of the delivery platform as more sites are acquired.
Previously Project Manager at Curo Enterprise having completed a graduate programme at Davis Langdon, Ricardo Simoes brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Ricardo’s focus will be the management and construction delivery of our new housing projects, supporting Jonathan and his team in developing high quality homes across London.
At Apex, our innovative approach to development is shaping the future of real estate as it has secured over £28m from the Business Growth Fund (BGF), Homes England and the Mayor of London to date and picked up its first industry accolade at this year’s RESI Awards as Newcomer of the Year. It has pioneered the use of airspace for the creation of new homes, identifying and promoting a new residential market in London worth an estimated £54bn.
Our CEO and Founder, Arshad Bhatti, says: “With several developments in the pipeline, Jonathan and Ricardo’s appointments within the Apex construction team are timely. Apex is continuing to grow and these two passionate team members joining us now is testament to our recent success and ambition, incredibly vital as we advance our pioneering development strategy and positively disrupt the house building industry.”
